About MWM

Beside the harbour in the Cornish village of Boscastle lies the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. One of the world’s most unusual museums, founded in 1960 by Cecil Williamson, it was created to explore the history, folklore, and lived traditions of magic and witchcraft.

Over the decades the museum has grown into an internationally recognised collection, preserving objects, stories, and practices drawn from centuries of belief and everyday magic. Today it remains an independent museum, welcoming visitors from around the world to discover this curious and often misunderstood part of cultural history.
